This research aims to determine how alignment with personal values in both professional and personal life influences an individual's resilience and well-being in the software industry.Article Citation - WoS: 10Citation - Scopus: 13User Selection and Codebook Design for Noma-Based High Altitude Platform Station (haps) Communications(IEEE, 2022) Cumalı, İrem; Özbek, Berna; Karabulut Kurt, Güneş; Yanıkömeroğlu, HalimHigh altitude platform station (HAPS) communications have made a tremendous impact on recent research into sixth-generation (6G) and beyond wireless networks. The large coverage area and significant computational capability of HAPS systems enable many areas of utilization in 6G and beyond applications, including Internet of Things (IoT) services, augmented reality, and connected autonomous vehicles. In addition, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is a cutting-edge technology that can be utilized to enhance spectral efficiency in HAPS systems. In this paper, we exploit NOMA-based HAPS communications and multiple antennas to meet the connectivity, reliability, and high-data-rate requirements of 6G and beyond applications. We propose a user selection and correlation-based user pairing algorithm for a NOMA-based multi-user HAPS system. Moreover, we investigate the codebook design for HAPS communication and adapt the polar-cap codebook (PCC) to the HAPS channel which shows Rician fading propagation characteristics dominated by the line-of-sight (LOS) component. Performance evaluations show that the proposed user selection algorithm is perfectly suited to the HAPS channel and that the PCC provides a remarkable spectral efficiency.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 1Yüksek İrtifa Platform İstasyonları için Korelasyon Matrisinin Yaklaşımı(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc., 2021) Cengiz, Aybüke; Tedik Başaran, Semiha; Karabulut Kurt, Güneş; Özbek, Berna; Yanıkömeroğlu, HalimA High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) is a new and promising technology with different uses like wireless communication services, traffic monitoring, navigation applications and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Since it is positioned much higher than ground-level users, line-of-sight (LOS) is more common in HAPS systems. Especially in HAPS systems that include multiple antennas, the effect of correlation between antennas is an important factor limiting the performance. The effect of correlation is strongly influenced by the spacing between the antenna elements and environmental factors. This effect can be reduced by the effect of rich scattering environment in terrestrial Multi-Input/Multi-Output (MIMO) systems, yet this observation is not applicable to HAPS systems. In this study, a tight bound expression for the correlation matrix which does not have an expression in closed form and has a significant place in the performance of HAPS systems has been obtained. Comprehensive numerical values have been obtained under different system parameters to demonstrate the convergence performance of the approximate expression to the real value, and the results have been compared. © 2021 IEEE.Article Citation - WoS: 338Citation - Scopus: 288Evidence for Collectivity in Pp Collisions at the Lhc(Elsevier B.V., 2017) Sirunyan, A.M.; Tumasyan, A.; Adam, W.; Bergauer, T.; Dragicevic, M.; Erö, J.; Dubinin, M.Measurements of two- and multi-particle angular correlations in pp collisions at s=5,7, and 13TeV are presented as a function of charged-particle multiplicity. The data, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1.0pb−1 (5 TeV), 6.2pb−1 (7 TeV), and 0.7pb−1 (13 TeV), were collected using the CMS detector at the LHC. The second-order (v2) and third-order (v3) azimuthal anisotropy harmonics of unidentified charged particles, as well as v2 of KS 0 and Λ/Λ‾ particles, are extracted from long-range two-particle correlations as functions of particle multiplicity and transverse momentum. For high-multiplicity pp events, a mass ordering is observed for the v2 values of charged hadrons (mostly pions), KS 0, and Λ/Λ‾, with lighter particle species exhibiting a stronger azimuthal anisotropy signal below pT≈2GeV/c. For 13 TeV data, the v2 signals are also extracted from four- and six-particle correlations for the first time in pp collisions, with comparable magnitude to those from two-particle correlations. These observations are similar to those seen in pPb and PbPb collisions, and support the interpretation of a collective origin for the observed long-range correlations in high-multiplicity pp collisions. © 2016 The AuthorArticle Citation - WoS: 38Citation - Scopus: 43Observation of Prompt J/Ψ Meson Elliptic Flow in High-Multiplicity Ppb Collisions at √snn=8.16 Tev(Elsevier B.V., 2019) Sirunyan, A.M.; Tumasyan, A.; Adam, W.; Ambrogi, F.; Asilar, E.; Bergauer, T.; Petrov, V.A measurement of the elliptic flow (v2) of prompt J/ψ mesons in high-multiplicity pPb collisions is reported using data collected by the CMS experiment at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy sNN=8.16TeV. Prompt J/ψ mesons decaying into two muons are reconstructed in the rapidity region in the nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass frame (ycm), corresponding to either −2.86<ycm<−1.86 or 0.94<ycm<1.94. The average v2 result from the two rapidity ranges is reported over the transverse momentum (pT) range from 0.2 to 10 GeV. Positive v2 values are observed for the prompt J/ψ meson, as extracted from long-range two-particle correlations with charged hadrons, for 2<pT<8 GeV. The prompt J/ψ results are compared with previous CMS measurements of elliptic flow for open charm mesons (D0) and strange hadrons. From these measurements, constraints can be obtained on the collective dynamics of charm quarks produced in high-multiplicity events arising from small systems. © 2019 The Author(s)
