A right module A is called max-flat if Tor(1)(R) (A, R/I) = 0 for any maximal left ideal I of R. A right module B is said to be max-cotorsion if Ext(R)(1)(A, B) = 0 for any max-flat right module A. We characterize some classes of rings such as perfect rings, max-injective rings, SF rings and max-hereditary rings by max-flat and max-cotorsion modules. We prove that every right module has a max-flat cover and max-cotorsion envelope. We show that a left perfect right max-injective ring R is QF if and only if maximal right ideals of R are finitely generated. The max-flat dimensions of modules and rings are studied in terms of right derived functors of -circle times-. Finally, we study the modules that are injective and flat relative to s-pure exact sequences.Article Citation - WoS: 12Citation - Scopus: 14Prevalence, Virulence Characterization, and Genetic Relatedness of Listeria Monocytogenes Isolated From Chicken Retail Points and Poultry Slaughterhouses in Turkey(Springer, 2019) Çoban, Ayşen; Pennone, Vincenzo; Sudağıdan, Mert; Molva, Çelenk; Jordan, Kieran; Aydın, AliListeria monocytogenes is one of the most important foodborne pathogens and is a causal agent of listeriosis in humans and animals. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence, serogroups, antibiotic susceptibility, virulence factor genes, and genetic relatedness of L. monocytogenes strains isolated from 500 poultry samples in Turkey. The isolation sources of 103 L. monocytogenes strains were retail markets (n = 100) and slaughterhouses (n = 3). L. monocytogenes strains were identified as serogroups 1/2a-3a (75.7%, lineage I), 1/2c-3c (14.56%, lineage I), 1/2b-3b-7 (5.82%, lineage II), 4a-4c (2.91%, lineage III), and 4b-4d-4e (0.97%, lineage III). Most of the L. monocytogenes strains (93.2%) were susceptible to the antibiotics tested. PCR analysis indicated that the majority of the strains (95% to 100%) contained most of the virulence genes (hylA, plcA, plcB, prfA, mpl, actA, dltA, fri, flaA inlA, inlC, and inlJ). Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) demonstrated that there were 18 pulsotypes grouped at a similarity of >90% among the strains. These results indicate that it is necessary to prevent the presence of L. monocytogenes in the poultry-processing environments to help prevent outbreaks of listeriosis and protect public health.Article Citation - WoS: 17Citation - Scopus: 19Heavy Naphtha Upgrading by Catalytic Reforming Over Novel Bi-Functional Zeolite Catalyst(Springer, 2018) Ahmedzeki, Nada S.; Al-Tabbakh, Ban A.; Antwan, Maher B.; Yılmaz, SelahattinNaphtha catalytic reforming process using bimetallic platinum and titanium loaded on nano synthesized HY zeolite was investigated for the product octane number enhancement. The activity of five samples of the prepared catalyst with different bimetallic loading of 0.13, 0.25 wt% Pt and 0.75, 1, 2.2 wt% Ti were investigated for Iraqi heavy naphtha catalytic reforming at the temperature range of 490, 500 and 510 degrees C and pressure of 10 bar in a packed bed pilot plant reactor. The best result of the research octane number was 84 for reformate product using the sample of 0.13% Pt-0.75% Ti%/HY zeolite at temperature 510 degrees C and 10 bar achieving 47% increase. All samples of the prepared catalyst showed a good stability during the operation at severe conditions and the maximum carbon content was about 9% due to the deposition of coke precursor on the catalyst surface. The reformate yield was investigated for all catalyst samples under 10 and 20 bars and the same range of temperature and ranged from 89 to 94%. These results are encouraging for future possible replacement of the conventional catalyst by the local synthetic zeolite. Octane number was correlated on the basis of constituent's boiling points. The maximum absolute error between the experimental and predicted octane number was about 3 and 5% using 10 and 20 bar respectively.
