Book Part Citation - Scopus: 2Lensless Holographic Microscopy(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2021) Delikoyun, Kerem; Demir, Ali Aslan; Özçivici, Engin; Tekin, Huseyin CumhurIn this chapter, we introduce the theoretical basis and biomedical applications of lensless digital inline holographic microscopy and highlight its ability to serve as an intelligent, low-cost and portable microscopy platform for laboratory and on-site applications. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.Book Part Computational Approaches for Antibody-Based Drug Design(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2024) Gunes, S.; Arkca, I.; Atik, S.B.; Ulucan-Karnak, F.; Sezgin, H.T.; Uyar, A.This chapter includes various aspects of antibodies with a major emphasis on computational tools in antibody design. In this scope, current antibody databases, computational tools, and approaches for modelling antibodies and nanobodies, the structure, and interface prediction are analyzed. On the other hand, various antibody design techniques such as grafting, the significance of antibody-drug conjugates, and how computational methods contribute to the development of therapeutic antibodies are discussed with relevant strategies in the literature. Lastly, the production cost and the rising market value of antibodies are emphasized. © IOP Publishing Ltd 2023. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb1. The results include measurements of the scale and resolution of ® pmiss T, and detailed studies of events identified with anomalous ® pmiss T . The performance is presented of a ® pmiss T reconstruction algorithm that mitigates the effects of multiple proton-proton interactions, using the "pileup per particle identification" method. The performance is shown of an algorithm used to estimate the compatibility of the reconstructed ® pmiss T with the hypothesis that it originates from resolution effects. © 2019 CERN for the benefit of the CMS collaboration.Article Citation - WoS: 16Citation - Scopus: 15On Scattering From the One-Dimensional Multiple Dirac Delta Potentials(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2018) Erman, Fatih; Gadella, Manuel; Uncu, HaydarIn this paper, we propose a pedagogical presentation of the Lippmann-Schwinger equation as a powerful tool, so as to obtain important scattering information. In particular, we consider a one-dimensional system with a Schrödinger-type free Hamiltonian decorated with a sequence of N attractive Dirac delta interactions. We first write the Lippmann-Schwinger equation for the system and then solve it explicitly in terms of an N × N matrix. Then, we discuss the reflection and the transmission coefficients for an arbitrary number of centres and study the threshold anomaly for the N = 2 and N = 4 cases. We also study further features like the quantum metastable states and resonances, including their corresponding Gamow functions and virtual or antibound states. The use of the Lippmann-Schwinger equation simplifies our analysis enormously and gives exact results for an arbitrary number of Dirac delta potentials.Article Citation - WoS: 8Citation - Scopus: 7Violation of the Holographic Principle in the Loop Quantum Gravity(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2016) Sargın, Ozan; Faizal, MirIn this paper, we analyze the holographic principle using loop quantum gravity (LQG). This will be done by using polymeric quantization for analysing Yurtsever's holographic bound on the entropy, which is obtained from local quantum field theories. As the polymeric quantization is the characteristic feature of loop quantum gravity, we will argue that this calculation will indicate the effect of loop quantum gravity on the holographic principle. Thus, we will be able to explicitly demonstrate the violation of the holographic principle in the loop quantum gravity.Article Citation - WoS: 31Citation - Scopus: 30Absence of Pseudogap in Heavily Overdoped Bi2sr2cacu2o8+? From Tunneling Spectroscopy of Break Junctions(Institute of Physics Publishing, 2002) Özyüzer, Lütfi; Zasadzinski, John F.; Gray, Kenneth E.; Kendziora, Christopher A.; Miyakawa, NobuakiWe report tunneling spectroscopy of superconductor-insulator-superconductor break junctions on heavily overdoped Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ with Tc = 56 K. At T ≪ Tc, the junction conductances display well-defined quasiparticle peaks at ±2Δ and in some cases a Josephson current at zero bias. Gap values as small as Δ = 10.5 meV have been observed leading to 2Δ/kTc near the BCS limit for dx2-y2 pairing. Temperature dependence of the gap magnitude, Δ(T), follows the BCS relation and both the quasiparticle gap and Josephson current vanish for T > Tc. Above Tc, the tunneling conductance shows a flat background without any indication of a pseudogap near the Fermi level.
