Conference Object Measure on Time Scales With Mathematica(Springer Verlag, 2006) Ufuktepe, Ünal; Yantır, AhmetIn this paper we study the Lebesgue Delta-measure on time scales. We refer to [3, 4] for the main notions and facts from the general measure and Lebesgue Delta integral theory. The objective of this paper is to show how the main concepts of Mathematica can be applied to fundamentals of Lebesgue Delta- and Lebesgue Delta- measure on an arbitrary time scale and also on a discrete time scale whose rule is given by the reader. This paper presents a mixed formulation for planar slider-crank linkages where three precision points and a folded or extended dead-center position are to be satisfied. Examples show that generally there are four real solutions, only two of which result in distinct solutions.Article Citation - Scopus: 3Structural Change and Output Volatility Reduction in Oecd Countries: Evidence of the Second Great Moderation(Springer Verlag, 2019) Duran, Hasan EnginIn this article, we provide new, novel evidence for a more recent structural break (in 2010) indicating a greater moderation of output volatility compared to the well-known break during the mid-1980s. The period of analysis runs from 1962Q2 to 2018Q3. It covers 26 OECD countries. In terms of methodology, it has mainly been used as the measures of conditional and unconditional volatility and procedures of structural break detection (Inclan–Tiao test and autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity model). As a result, it has been found that output greatly stabilized following the structural break at 2010Q1 in the post-era of 2008/09 global financial crisis. Moreover, output stabilization is robustly evident for 24 (out of 26) OECD countries. From a political standpoint, it is implied that the Keynesian view may be influential in this moderation. Government expenditures and fiscal programs, regulations of financial markets against the sub-prime lending and limitations to trade of mortgage-backed securities might have been the main driver of stability. The result is impressive since now a full spectral dimension is added to each single scan. More than forty mixtures were prepared including two mixtures of conventional concrete, six mixtures of Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC), and thirty-six mixtures of HyFRC. The design parameters were chosen as fly ash to cement ratio (1.2, 1.7 and 2.2), steel fiber type and amount (0.5%, 0.75%, and 1.25% by volume), PVA fiber amount (0.25% and 0.50% by volume), and maximum aggregate size (Dmax) of 8 mm and 16 mm. Several tests were carried out on fresh and hardened specimens such as bending, compression, and low-velocity flexural impact loading. Based on the results, it is found that the mixture with 0.75% steel fiber and 0.25% PVA showed the best performance for the aim of the study.Conference Object Citation - Scopus: 12Incremental Itemset Mining Based on Matrix Apriori Algorithm(Springer Verlag, 2012) Oğuz, Damla; Ergenç, BelginDatabases are updated continuously with increments and re-running the frequent itemset mining algorithms with every update is inefficient. Studies addressing incremental update problem generally propose incremental itemset mining methods based on Apriori and FP-Growth algorithms. Besides inheriting the disadvantages of base algorithms, incremental itemset mining has challenges such as handling i) increments without re-running the algorithm, ii) support changes, iii) new items and iv) addition/deletions in increments. In this paper, we focus on the solution of incremental update problem by proposing the Incremental Matrix Apriori Algorithm. It scans only new transactions, allows the change of minimum support and handles new items in the increments. The base algorithm Matrix Apriori works without candidate generation, scans database only twice and brings additional advantages. The formulation results in a set of nonlinear equations which can be solved analytically. Structural compliance is determined in several poses via FEM analysis and addressed by referring to local and global indices of performance. This co-worker robot has non-backdrivable actuation system with external brakes on the actuators. Since it is required to move in a constrained environment, which is the inside the nostrils in this case, modifications are required for the motion controller. In order to provide safe procedure, the maximum force and torque limits are defined for the real surgical case by using human cadaver head. By considering these limits and application specific requirements, a compliance controller is proposed and experimentally tested.
