Article Phase Shift Optimization for Ris Enabled Pnc System With Multiple Antennas(Ieee-inst Electrical Electronics Engineers inc, 2024) Ilguy, Mert; Ozbek, Berna; Musavian, Leila; Mumtaz, ShahidReconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS) have been developed to exploit the stochastic characteristics of the propagation environment for next generation wireless systems. On the other hand, the integration of wireless physical network coding (PNC) and multiple antennas yields notable enhancements in system performance. This paper presents a multiuser system, employing RIS enabled PNC alongside multiple antennas to minimize both delay and error probability. Our aim is to establish reliable communication between the user pairs, which communicate through a base station (BS) via RIS. Therefore, the reflecting coefficients including both phases and amplitudes of the RIS are optimized by using the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) algorithm for both single and multiple RIS cases. Extensive results are presented to compare the proposed algorithm with random phase shift, network coding (NC) and the search algorithm to illustrate its superiority.Conference Object Detection Scheme for Pnc-Based Cell-Free Mimo Systems(IEEE, 2023) Cumali, Irem; Ozbek, Berna; Kurt, Gunes KarabulutCell-free multiple-input multiple-output (cell-free MIMO) is a promising concept to overcome inter-cell interference and avoid non-uniform data rates among users by combining the best features of ultra-dense networks and MIMO. Hence, cell-free MIMO can fulfill the increasing demand on data rate with uniformly good coverage for the sixth-generation (6G) wireless communications. In addition to that, physical-layer network coding (PNC) reduces the transmission delay since it requires only two time slots instead of four time slots to exchange information between two users. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme called PNC-based cell-free MIMO to improve reliability further while reducing the transmission delay. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme regarding the bit error rate in different system configurations. The proposed PNC-based cell-free MIMO achieves significantly lower error probability than the conventional cell-free MIMO.Conference Object Zamanla İlintili Kanallarda Güvenli MISO Sistemlerinin Başarımı(IEEE, 2017) Ozdogan, Ozgecan; Ozbek, Berna; Kurt, Gunes KarabulutWe consider the problem of secure communication with multiple antenna transmission in temporally correlated channels. In order to achieve a secrecy gain, a channel state information of the intended receiver at the transmitter is required. In this work, we present a limited feedback link by employing differential codebook which utilizes the temporal correlation properties of the wireless channels for a secure multi-antenna system. The secrecy performances are shown for different channel correlations.
