dc.description.abstract This chapter focuses on system service capability of wind power plants. Needs for system services for current and future power system with respect to active power, reactive power, frequency, and voltage services are analyzed. Different grid code requirements from countries all over the world are discussed to understand the requirements from the wind power plants. Wind power plant capabilities and models are explained for different operating conditions of the power system, namely - normal condition, alert operation, and emergency operation. © 2022 by World Scientific Publishing Europe Ltd.
