Abstract

Modal analysis of aerofoil cross-sectioned wing made of laminated composite and filled with foam is studied by Finite Element Method with the help of ANSYS which is very powerful and well proven software all around the world. The effects of ratio of overhangs to mid-span and length of the thickened parts on natural frequencies are investigated by finite element models developed in ANSYS and the model is verified by theoretical results available in the literature.
